Cardiff Business School breaks in to world top 100
We have been ranked among the world’s top 100 universities for Business and Economics in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University rankings (2016-2017) by subject.
Placed 93rd, we form part of an elite group of just 15 UK universities to appear in the latest list. We have also ranked above many of our UK counterparts in several areas, including industry income, citations and research.
This is an excellent result and a testament to the quality of our teaching and the impact of our outstanding research.
Launch of the BSc Financial Mathematics
The School of Mathematics celebrated the launch of its new BSc Financial Mathematics. The BSc in Financial Mathematics aims to provide fundamental mathematical and statistical knowledge, whilst also developing important transferable skills and an understanding of modern finance studies regarding financial markets, institutions, investments and policies.
Launch of the MSc Cancer Biology and Therapeutics
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has recently introduced this exciting new programme which is designed to allow students the opportunity to gain an advanced understanding of the cellular and molecular processes which underlie cancer development and spread and use this knowledge to analyse, interpret and evaluate cancer risk, diagnosis and treatment.
Students wishing to enrol on this programme will normally possess an initial degree in the biological sciences or a healthcare-related subject awarded by a recognised Institution.
Graduates from chemistry and radiology areas of study would also be considered.
